Dr. Laura Shannon is a potato breeder involved with the Tools for Polyploids project and is an assistant professor of potato breeding genetics and genomics in the Department of Horticultural Sciences at the University of Minnesota. Her background is in computational population and quantitative genetics and in her current, she uses that experience to research potato diversity and develop new varieties for Minnesota growers. She recently presented at the NPPGA Research and Reporting Conference. |
